Survived by wife of 65 years, Jane; son John (Brenda); grandchildren, Andrew, Catherine, Annie Coleman and Sara Skok (Mike); many nieces and nephews.
Richard (Dick) was born in Minneapolis on October 21, 1921 and joined the Army Air Corps where he served our country in WWII as part of the 11th Fighter Squadron (Aleutian Tigers) on Adak Island. After discharge in 1945, Dick met Jane and they were married on July 17, 1947. His long career in sales included Graybar Electric, Northern States Power, Metropolitan Life, Combined Insurance and Wausau Insurance. They were blessed with one son, John, born in 1956 and spent their entire lives in south Minneapolis, besides a 5 year period in Winona while with NSP.
A great storyteller, Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, laughing and reminiscing about days gone by and his wartime experiences. His warm and gentle spirit touched many and his spirit lives on in all of us who love him.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
