Alice Grace Plumb

Plumb, Alice G,

Age 99 of Plymouth MN, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. 

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Roger Plumb, parents Arthur R. and Grace L. (Braund) Siegel and sister Gloria Waldow. Survived by her children Gwen (Dave), Mike (Cheryl), Cathy, and grandchildren Miles, Emma, Charles and Sydney.

 Alice was born in 1926 in Racine WI, and attended a one room school house in North Cape, WI through 8th grade. She graduated from Horlick High School in Racine, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1947. After graduation she taught home economics, nutrition, sewing and consumer education and after moving to Rochester, MN managed the Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent Programs. 

Alice made beautiful wedding dresses, clothes, curtains and was always ready to help with sewing projects. She kept learning, completing the bridge column in the paper every day, and enjoyed meeting and talking to people everywhere she went. 

Alice married Roger Plumb at North Cape Lutheran Church WI in 1954. They built a home in Milwaukee where they started a family. They retired in Plymouth MN. Alice and Roger were avid Duplicate Bridge players and travelled to national competitions frequently. They both earned their ABCL Life Master soon after retiring. Alice continued to play Duplicate Bridge in Maple Grove into 2026. We thank Director Scott and the entire bridge group, good friend Terry and long time hair stylist Jill.

A celebration of life will be held on April 4 at 2 PM with service and social time following at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth MN 55446.
