Ann Elizabeth Olson

Ann Elizabeth (Igel) Olson died on May 1, 2026. Ann was born to Harry and Inez (Neary) Igel on Dec. 24, 1943 in Minneapolis. She grew up in Linden Hills and graduated from Holy Angels in 1961. 

On January 26, 1963 she married Richard (Dick) Olson and became a longtime resident of St. Louis Park with their children, Chris (Claire), Tom (Sandy), Paul (Aimee), and Betsy (Maryanne). Ann was a doting grandma to Samantha (Doug), Amanda (Javy), Nicholas, Molly (Ian), Jack, Jonathan, Ben; and great-grandkids, Fiona and Declan. She is also survived by siblings, Mary Alice, Rita (Mike), Dick (Missy), sister-in-law, Mary Jo; and 21 nieces and nephews. 

Ann was preceded by her parents and brothers, Tom, Jim, and Bill; and in-laws, Patti, Betti, Mike, and Al. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc and shared her love of cuisine and talents as an artist with family and friends. Above all, Ann loved family. 

Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, with visitation 1 hour before at St. Joan of Arc Church, Minneapolis.
