Annette Marie Hubbard

Annette Marie Hubbard, age 71, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and close friends.

Annette was born on May 23, 1955, in Austin, Minnesota, to Clayton Hubbard and Evelyn (Lutz) Hubbard. She grew up alongside her two sisters, Pegjo and Victoria “Vic.” She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vic.

Annette is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward Lenoch; her daughter, Paige (Ashleigh), her beloved granddaughter, Sula; and her sister, Pegjo (Mark).

At her core, Annette was a caretaker. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who showed her love by taking care of the people around her. She was generous with her talents, especially her knitting. Over the years, many family and friends were blessed to receive scarves, mittens, and sweaters that were created with so much love.

Annette loved gardening, cooking, good coffee, Minnesota Twins baseball, and traveling. She was an avid reader and always seemed to have a good book to recommend and participated in multiple book clubs. Her love of knitting and travel came together in a particularly special way last fall, when she traveled to Scotland with Ed and close friends to experience Wool Week—a trip that brought her tremendous joy.

Annette also had an incredible sense of humor and knew how to make the people around her laugh. But few things brought her more happiness than being Sula’s grandma. She delighted in her role of grandma and could rarely resist a request from Sula. If Sula wanted to do it, Yaya was likely up for the adventure.

Annette loved deeply, cared generously, and gave so much of herself to the people she loved. Her family will miss her care, her cooking and baking, her knitted gifts, and good stories told over a good beverage. The love and care she poured into her family and friends will continue to surround them for years to come.

A memorial service celebrating Annette’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave Minneapolis MN, 55408.
