Funeral Livestream for Arnold Hilger
Arnold N. Hilger, 92, of New Hope, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Arnie was a proud Marine during the Korean War and a long-time dedicated employee at Liberty Diversified. Down to earth, he always reminded us of the things we have to be grateful for. His Catholic faith was a pillar of strength and comfort in his life. In his free time he enjoyed golf, travel, Willie Nelson, and following the stock market and current events. Arnie was easy to talk to and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He always had sage advice or something humorous to contribute. He held his good friends close, and stayed in touch with many of them for decades. He had a great sense of humor, loved to tease, and poke fun. The loudest voice at any family gathering was likely him saying, "I'm talking!" whenever he felt he was being interrupted. He loved to crack a joke or provide a witty side comment.
Most importantly, he loved his family. Arnie and Bev were married for 64 years -- an amazing example of dedication, commitment, friendship, and love. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was always involved whether it be birthdays, recitals, or sports. His love was special and he was generous with it. He will be missed and thought of with love every day.
Arnie is survived by his wife Beverly, his daughter Lori and son Jeff (Jeanne). Also survived by 4 wonderful grandchildren, Katie, Ellie, Emily, and Collin and 3 amazing great-grandsons, Julian, Carter, and Jayden. Also survived by brother John, sister Arlene, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 19 at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale, 3888 W. Broadway, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Entombment following at Gethsemane Cemetery.
