Kohorst, Arnold N.
Age 86 of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. Greeted in heaven by his parents, Anna and Clemons Kohorst, sisters Milly and Jean, brothers, Ervin, Bob and Elmer. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Suzanne; two sons, Eric Kohorst (Anne) and Craig Kohorst (Nicole); four grandchildren, Jake (Ashlyn), Michael (fiancé Emma), Max and Catherine; two brothers and four sisters.
Arnie knew the value of family having grown up in Albany, MN, one of twelve children. He married the love of his life, Suzanne, and moved to the Twin Cities to start their life together. Using his skilled hands, strong work ethic and with the help of family, the pair designed and built their dream home. It is there he raised his own family, began a career as a computer technician for Control Data, and developed a love for good clean windows.
As a young man, he grew up playing baseball and basketball. Later in life his hobbies included fishing/hunting and many trips to Canada with family. As a husband and father, he unconditionally supported, loved and cared for the people close to his heart. Arnie had four grandchildren that he helped care for and raise. They were the apple of his eye.
Arnie’s legacy lives on in his love for his wife, grandkids and family. He was a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Wayzata, MN, where we will celebrate his life on Friday, Feb 6th, 2026, at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM.
Thanks Dad for everything, we will carry on with your examples of love and kindness.
