Barbara Jean Yaeger, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the many memories she created throughout a life well lived.
Barb was born on August 23, 1955, to Joseph and Lorraine Kane. She grew up alongside her beloved siblings, Tom, Mary, Kathy, and Pat, forming bonds that remained important throughout her life.
Barb shared a loving marriage with her husband, Eric Yaeger, and was a proud mother to her daughters, Kelly and Laura, who were the joy of her life. Later, she became a grandmother to Mason, Luna, Evelyn, and Delilah. Though she did not have nearly enough time with her grandchildren, she cherished every moment she was given.
For more than 30 years, Barb dedicated herself as a daycare provider, caring for countless children as if they were her own. She earned the trust, respect, and gratitude of generations of families who knew their children were safe, loved, and nurtured in her care. Her kindness, patience, and steady presence left a lasting impact on many lives.
Barb loved playing softball, shopping, watching movies, playing games, and hosting family gatherings that brought everyone together. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the family cabin, where she could often be found reading a good book or enjoying a peaceful nap in the gazebo or sharing laughs with family and friends while sipping a crisp Coors Light.
Those who knew Barb will remember her generous heart, her sense of humor, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She had a gift for caring for others and created a lifetime of treasured memories that will continue to comfort those she leaves behind.
Memorial Celebration for Barb will be held from 2-4pm Friday, September 25th at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. in Plymouth.
