Bertha Velasco

Bertha Velasco, age 85 of Brooklyn Center, returned home to her Heavenly Father July 18, 2016.

A member of St. Alphonsus Church, she was instrumental in the formation of the Spanish Parish. She had a love of church, family & travel and was loved by all who knew her.

Philip was her life “in spite of all”. Such a special woman who embraced life without regret impacted others in many ways.

Preceded in death by her parents, (Ignacio & Anita) and two sisters.

Survived by her beloved son, Philip (Tami); niece, Nadine (Lindze); sisters, Gloria (Bob) and Lupita (Brian).

Memorials preferred to St. Alphonsus ‘Spanish’ Parish.

Visitation after 9:30 at Church. Private interment.
