Beverly Anne (Bergh) Bremseth, age 90, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Beverly was born to Edwin and Mildred (Brovold) Bergh in Fosston, Minnesota. She was the eldest daughter and grew up on the family farm in Gully, Polk County, Minnesota.
Beverly graduated from Fosston High School before attending Concordia College in Moorhead, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in music and English education. While at Concordia, she was involved in several music programs and served as co-editor of the college newspaper, the Concordian. She later earned her Master of Education degree from the University of Minnesota.
Beverly dedicated 29 years to teaching English and music, primarily in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, before retiring in 1994. On June 6, 1959, she married the love of her life, Lowell Bremseth. Together they built a life in the Minneapolis area and were just two weeks shy of celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary.
Beverly loved family, friends, pets, music, writing, and cooking. She especially enjoyed traveling and took many memorable trips throughout Europe and Scandinavia, the Holy Land, Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. She also participated in AAUW, area choirs, and many other community activities throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell Bremseth; son, Dr. Craig Bremseth; grandchildren Alyssa Tourdot, Aanders Bremseth, Ava Bremseth, and Olen Bremseth; and beloved dog, Ivory. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Bremseth; and sisters, Barbara Berg and Geraldine Diesch.
Beverly will be remembered for her intelligence, wit, warmth, creativity, and devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapels, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446. The service will be Livestreamed. A link will be posted here just prior to the service.
Interment will take place in Gonvick, Minnesota, at Samhold Lutheran Church, with a private family burial.
