Bradley (Brad) Smith, 71, was born in Minneapolis to Howard and Lorraine Smith on February 16, 1955. He passed away from lung cancer at his home in Minnetonka on April 29, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his son Brent, grandsons Trent and Nick, brother Ron (Nancy), sister Patty, nieces Michelle and Emma and their families, cousins and friends.
Brad was a gifted craftsman who created many things, both functional and decorative, for his family. He could fix anything, and did projects in his home that most people would never consider attempting. Recently he successfully resuscitated the 1975 Honda CB750 that he bought new.
Brad was also a very talented athlete, The sporting success he enjoyed over his lifetime is evident everywhere in his home by the countless trophies from a variety of sports. Everyone wanted Brad on their team.
Prior to retirement Brad spent several decades as a valued employee working for Garlock Equipment in many different capacities, but primarily as a machinist and welder.
Private burial at Lakewood Cemetery.
