Kleinow, Brianna J
At the age of 32 years old, our thoughtful, compassionate and brave Brianna passed to her Eternal home on October 11, 2025, after a valiant almost five year battle with a rare ovarian cancer. Survived by husband Joey Kleinow; parents Sherry and Thomas Ewert; brother & sister-in-law Nathaniel J. and Nicole Ewert; nieces Nora & 'Noelle Brianna' Ewert; grandparents George & Shirley Kramer; mother-in-law Kimberley Hankins-Kujawa and husband Duane Kujawa; father-in-law Joal Kleinow and wife Lisa; grandmothers-in-law Delores Kleinow & Joyce Hankins. She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brianna was a bright light for everyone who knew her. Her faith was unwavering and she looked to the Lord each day for renewed strength. She lived life to the fullest by packing in as much as possible into her 33 years. Her genuine compassion and caring for others was bar none. She enjoyed baking; making and selling her homemade chocolate truffles; green beans (thus the 30 year nickname, "Bean"); loving up on her dog Pinot and her cat Athena; apple orchards in the fall; Hallmark Christmas movies that she would start to watch in October; organizing many trips, parties and get togethers with friends and family; puzzles; words searches; paper crafting; family vacations; exploring new coffee shops; horseback riding; golfing; being the best 'Auntie Anna' and spoiling her nieces; constantly congratulating her brother, Nate, for continuing to be the BEST BIG BROTHER EVER; married life with Joey, especially the weekly date nights which sometimes included a ranking list of the "best spicy margarita"; , Travel adventures with Joey which included hiking and horseback riding through the mountains of Montana, as well as two bucket list trips. One was a cruise through the Greek Isles and the other was a Caribbean Cruise where she fulfilled her dream of swimming with the pigs; bible studies with local friends and also the Becky Thompsons virtual one, called 'The Clearing', with friends across the nation; and taking a million amazing photos of everything and everyone who shared life with her.
From February 2021 until the time of Brianna entering hospice, she explored multiple treatments to attack the cancer, including many clinical trials. One of Brianna's lasting legacies will be that of selflessness and kindness especially in the midst of suffering. She was inspirational in the strength of her fight and acceptance of what was. She lived one day at a time, was grateful for the day, and considered every new day a miracle. The gift of the present is priceless! She will be forever missed but remembered every single day by many who knew and loved her.
We want to sincerely thank Dr. Tan, Akia Smith, and the other amazing staff at Minnesota Oncology Maple Grove/Coon Rapids for their knowledge and tenacity at seeking out new potential treatment options. We also want to thank her employer Field's Law firm. Their continued compassion and support throughout her ongoing battle allowed Brianna to enjoy life to the fullest, even amidst the cancer struggle. Lastly, we thank Calvary Church in Golden Valley and all of Brianna's prayer partners. You were Brianna's rock in this storm. Please know that you all made a huge difference in Brianna's life. Thanks to everyone who have supported and prayed for Brianna during this time. We are forever grateful. Heaven has gained such a beautiful angel.
In celebrating Brianna's life there will be a Visitation Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 4-8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, and Thursday at church one hour prior to service. Funeral is Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11am at Calvary Church, 7520 Golden Valley Rd, Golden Valley, MN.
Brianna was very proud of the money that she raised in support of ovarian cancer research. Please consider in lieu of flowers, memorials to Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) mnovarian.org. From the time Brianna was diagnosed, MOCA supported her through education, a Dream Award and the hope of funding an early detection test or treatment. We thank them also.
