McLaughlin, Carol Ann (nee Holter)

of South Minneapolis, a Roosevelt High School graduate, class of 1968, passed away unexpectedly on November 4 with loving family at her side.

Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother, the joys of her life. Carol had a rewarding career as a healthcare educator and respiratory therapist. She earned her degree at the University of Minnesota. She was an avid classic movie fan and could recall the titles and actors of almost any film. She enjoyed many creative and social activities, including Mahjong, gardening, hardanger embroidery, knitting, and crocheting. She lived a good life, giving and receiving love. She leaves life lessons and fond memories to all fortunate enough to have known her.

Survived by children, Lori (Mary) McLaughlin & Michael (Eric) Mclaughlin; grandchildren, Taylor Trapnell & Emma Joswiak-McLaughlin; sisters, Patricia Ronken & Janice (Marty) Holter Kittok; niece, Lisa Karan; nephew, Dan Ronken; many more loved ones & friends. Preceded in death by parents, Harold & Dorothy Holter.

Visitation 5-7 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at Gearty-Delmore Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., Plymouth 55446. Memorial Service 11 AM Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Gearty-Delmore Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. Plymouth 55446. Visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
