Carol Ann Segale

Segale, Carol A. 

Age 90 of New Hope, passed away on May 15, 2026. 

Carol graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1954 and Saint Catherine’s in 1958, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree. She taught General Healthcare to nursing students at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis for many years. Later in life, Carol discovered a calling in volunteer work and giving back to her community. She volunteered at the YMCA, her parish community at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hope, and the Guthrie Theatre for roughly 20 years. She enjoyed her many hobbies, such as knitting, gardening, book clubs, her Bible study group, her mermaid swimming group, and traveling. She collected spoons from every country she visited. 

Carol Survived by daughter, Kathleen Johnston; son, Charles (Cheryl) Segale; grandchildren, Kyle Johnston, Karina Johnston, & Julian Segale; 2 step-grandchildren, William & Wesley Vanderveen; special niece, Elizabeth & Sean Furrh; many more nieces, nephews, & special friends. Preceded in death by brother, John Charles Ganzer. 

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Saturday, June 13th, at the Parish Community of Saint Joseph, 8701 36th Avenue North, New Hope. Visitation one hour prior to Funeral Mass. Luncheon immediately following. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope. 

Memorials are preferred to the Parish Community of Saint Joseph, New Hope, MN.
