Catherine Anna Nystul

Catherine Anna Nystul, 82, of Plymouth, formerly of Argyle and Stephen, MN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Catherine began working during her youth as a linotype operator at the Banner in Argyle, MN.  After consolidation of the Banner and the Messenger, she continued her skills as a linotype operator and worked at the Messenger in Stephen, MN for former editor Earl Anderson.  She retired her keyboard skills in the 70s when she and her family moved to the Twin Cities.

She was a long time Payroll Specialist for North Memorial Hospital and was a very independent lady.  Catherine loved doing crafts; sewing, embroidery and woodworking among others.  She enjoyed being at craft shows with her family and was always looking for the next project to do.

Preceded in death by husband, Lawrence; parents, Walter and Frances (Kroll) Perkerwicz; sister, Irene Abell; brother-in-law, Ronald Jorgenson.

Survived by son, Larry; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; sister, Mary Jorgenson; many friends and family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, Dec. 15 at the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, 150 Railway St., Loretto, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.  Interment at the Church Cemetery.
