Charles P. (Charlie) Ekelund

June 24, 1935-February 9, 2022

Our dad was one of a kind. He lived a life full of hard work, amazing friends and a loving family. He will forever be known as a collector of all things, appreciator of a Ft. Myers Beach sunset, the evergreen landscape of Horseshoe Lake and anyone a little off-center. He loved all animals, a thick cut of bacon, a fresh pastry, classic cars, the way things used to be and his wife of 57 years, Rosie. He lived and died on his own terms and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Charlie is survived by his 2 daughters Andrea (Aaron), Kathleen (Jason), his 5 grandchildren, Blake, Parker, Ryan, Jada and Gianna and his faithful furry companion, Kitty.

Visitation 4:00 -7:00 PM Sunday, February 27 at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway Robbinsdale.

Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
