Listen to Obituary

Charlotte A. Boreen, age 89, of Maple Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Clarence; her parents, Herbert and Ethel Borreson; four siblings; and a nephew.

Charlotte is survived by her sister, Corrine; five children, Gayle (Scott), Cindy (Warren), Doris (Dan), Linda (Mike), and David (Joan); 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was a self-taught professional who built a successful career with Ault Incorporated for over 30 years, where she worked in Human Resources and advanced within the company through her own hard work and determination.

No one did Christmas quite like Char & Clare. For many years, they opened their home and hearts to family on Christmas Eve, creating celebrations filled with presents, wonderful food, music, and memories. They spared no effort in making Christmas special, and the traditions and joy they created will live on through the generations of their family.

Above all, Charlotte’s greatest legacy is the family she and Clarence built together, spanning five generations and filled with countless memories of a life well lived and deeply loved.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. (at Vicksburg Lane), Plymouth. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Palmer Lake VFW, 2817 Brookdale Dr., Brooklyn Park. Private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
