Charlotte "Joyce" Saucier

Charlotte "Joyce" Saucier passed away peacefully on December 21 after a few health setbacks. She was born in Minneapolis on June 30, 1930, to John and Charlotte Nelson. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Edward Madigan and John "Gayle" Nelson, and son in law Patrick Case. She went to St. Margaret's Academy High School and the University of Minnesota. She graduated and married Charles Saucier in 1952. They went on to have 6 children. She was a homemaker until she started her first job at QVC Home Shopping Network, and then worked at Jewelmont Corp. Lastly, she became a house director for Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at the U of MN in 1991 where she was best known as Mrs. CJ by all the girls. She was constantly busy and loved the excitement managing the social events at the house until retiring in 2013. She was also a longtime member of the Golden Valley Women's Club. Joyce is survived by her children Leslie Rask, Suzanne Case, Kim Sanchez, Kerry Saucier, Scott and Kevin, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Mom was beautiful, strong in her Catholic faith, kind and generous in her love for family. She loved cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, traveling, but most of all gathering with family and friends for holidays, birthdays or any special occasion. We will miss her laughter, her guidance, quick wit, strong character and most of all her unconditional love for all of us. We will carry her memory forward in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep and the love we share. May she rest in peace, love you mom.
Memorial service Friday, January 16th, 2 PM with visitation starting at 1 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Avenue North. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.
