Daniel Joseph DeFoe, age 78 of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully on April 26, 2020.
Dan was born January 23rd 1942 to Thomas and Lillian (Kiley) DeFoe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian; sister, Yvonne Davidson and a daughter. Dan is survived by son, Jonathan (Tiffany) DeFoe; brothers, Jerry (Nancy) DeFoe, Jim (Debbie) DeFoe, Tom (Sheila) DeFoe, Richard (Karna) DeFoe, Steve (Roberta) DeFoe and sister, Joan (Charles) Young; brother in law, Larry Sereika; children, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dan grew up in Osakis, MN where his love of the outdoors began. After graduating from Osakis high school Dan proudly served in the army on a missile base as a radar technician during the Cuban missile crisis. Dan then spent over 30 years working for Minnesota Rubber where he later retired as the production safety, and maintenance manager. He was also a proud member and leader of many unions. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved spending time and sharing stories with family and friends, especially his long time neighbor Rick.
A celebration of Dan's life will be announced at a later date.
