Daniel Joseph Kilkelly, age 70, of New Hope, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 12, 1955, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Dan was the beloved son of James and Roseann Kilkelly, who preceded him in death.
Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Trish” Kilkelly; his children, Ryan Kilkelly (Meredith); Holly Kilkelly (Larry Lizanich); Sarah Larson (Greg); and Cole Suronen; and his cherished grandchildren, Veronica Hillman, Andrew Smithberger, Patrick Hillman, Avery Smithberger, Ava Kilkelly, Mallory Smithberger, Reagan Kilkelly, and Griffin Kilkelly.
He is also survived by his siblings, Mark Kilkelly; Patricia Sanders (Mark); John Kilkelly (Mary); Jerry Kilkelly (Bettie); Father Tim Kilkelly; and Cate Curry (Tim Mulcahy), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Dan spent over 40 years as a professional driver, a career that reflected his dedication, work ethic, and reliability. Rooted in his Catholic faith, Dan lived his life with humility, compassion, and quiet strength.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering devotion to his family, and his remarkable ability to always see the good in others. He made those around him feel loved, supported, and valued, and his gentle spirit, compassion, and selfless nature will leave a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Dan’s greatest joy in life was his family, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on through them.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd, Crystal. Visitation at church one hour before Mass. Luncheon to immediately follow the Funeral Mass. Private Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to The American Heart Association.
