David L. Carpenter

of Maple Grove passed away Nov. 7, 2022 at age 75.  Dave was born and raised in Michigan, graduated from Western Michigan University, and retired from Eaton Corp.

Dave loved to play golf.  He was good-hearted and enjoyed doing things for others, including mowing and snow plowing neighbor’s yards and driveways for over 40 years.  He embraced the Carpenter tradition of not leaving their home hungry.  On Halloween he loved lining up the grills on the driveway, where there were treats for the kids, and grilled pineapple brats and ribs for the grown-ups.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Eldora; brothers, Don and Carroll.  He will be forever in the hearts of Beth, his wife of 46 years; sons, Ben, Tom (Sarah); grandchildren, Charlotte and Bill; brother, John(Barb), and many other family members and friends.

At Dave’s request, no service will be held; rather grill some ribs and share them with a neighbor.  Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Assn./Pulmonary Fibrosis in Dave’s name.
