David Freeman McAloney

David Freeman McAloney, Age 69, March 6, 1953, to August 9, 2022.

He left us unexpectedly, sat down to watch TV hopefully his favorite Perry Mason and fell asleep not to wake up.

Preceded in death by parents, Gerald and Mary McAloney; nephew, Chris Nyberg; and beloved pets, Doody and Pooky.

Survived by sisters, Mary Parkos and Geraldine Nyberg; brother, Al (Kay) McAloney; Nephews, Gary (Kristen) Parkos, Tim Parkos, Jerry McAloney; nieces, Dena (Dan) Hoogheem, Cara Beauchaine, Diane Nyberg; and great nieces and nephews, Allie, Katie, Roland, and Jon.

Recently retired from Hennepin County Libraries after 47 plus years, serving at Summer North Regional and Webber. Attended St Austins and Totino Grace, participating in band and theater. Enjoyed gardening and travel especially San Francisco. Will be missed by many.

Visitation Tues Aug 16th from 5 to 8 PM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 West Broadway. Service 1 PM Wed Aug 17th at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel. Interment after service at Gethsemane Cemetery.  Visitation one hour prior to the service.
