David L. Silvernale, 69, of Minneapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was born to George and Florence Silvernale on July 14, 1956, in San Diego, CA where George was stationed in the Navy. He grew up in northern Wisconsin, participated in Boys Scouts to the level of Eagle Scout and became an experienced camper. He graduated with a degree in Commercial Arts from the U of Wisconsin Superior, came to Minneapolis shortly after and was employed by the University of Minnesota as a tech in the Visual Aids Department to his retirement. He transferred his expertise to various projects in his church and could always be depended on to keep things working. His special joy was to help plan biking trips with his church biking group that included designing T shirts and giving bike care clinics. He was also a handy photographer to have around. He liked reading history, fixing things and doing crossword puzzles in ink. We will miss what he brought into our lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents. David is survived by sister, Patricia, brothers, Steven (Pam) and William (Robin). Nephews, Travis, (Shanan) Daniel, Isaacc, (Mary) Joshua and Arron, (Molly) Nieces Elizabeth Suehring (Aaron) and Cassie Pecquex (Jimmy), grand nephews, William, Iver and Cooper, and grand niece Esme, extended family and many friends. Special thanks to his compassionate care givers at North Memorial Hospital Robbinsdale.
