Listen to Obituary

Donald "Don" Leonard Healy, age 70 of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his sister, nieces and nephews on June 8, 2026. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Florence; sister, Lynn; brother, David; brother-in-law, Michael and many other family members and friends. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews: Michelle, John (Rachel), Lisa, Jake (Abby), Ryan (Jodie), Trevor (Hailey), Austin (Sami) and Derek (Bailey); Angela (Spencer), Danielle, Adrianna, Meghan, Norah, Penelope, Silas and baby in utero; Khloe, Brooklyn, Harvey and Mikenna, plus many other family members, friends and fellow church members.

Don born on August 11, 1955. He grew up in Robbinsdale and graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1972. A lifelong carpenter, he could repair and build most anything. Alongside of that he was an overall handyman, mechanic, chauffeur, observer, supporter and caretaker for all family members and friends. He was especially dedicated to his parents and resided with them for the last 26 years. After Don’s mother passed in 2015, his best buddy friendship excelled with his father, who lived an additional 11 years. They spent most of their time building things in the workshop together. Don was also very close with his three siblings, who cherished his every generous move and conversation. An uncle to 19+ nieces and nephews (plus spouses), he could have easily won the “Best Uncle” award having been there for each one individually and would take any opportunity to lend a helping hand or supply a funny birthday card.

Along side of his family, he was also fond of many outdoor activities and car races. Annually, he looked forward to a 9-day camping trip to Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) in his RV with a golf-cart or UTV in tow. These 9 days were the highlight of his year - it was many of his favorite activities: camping, cook-outs, camaraderie and NHRA Drag Races. Don also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, E-bike, going to the gym, watching football and talking with his buddies.

Don will be remembered for being a gentle soul who showed unconditional love with his acts of service and gentle smile. His humble, caring and kind nature was truly one of a kind. His willingness to help and take care of others will forever be cherished.
