Douglas B Booth

Douglas B Booth, 61, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on December 8, 2016.

He was a graduate of Hamline University School of Law, vice president and chief negotiator of Education Minnesota Local 2209, and a Captain in the US Army, having served in Korea. After over 20 years as an editor with West Publishing, Doug found his passion at Intermediate District 287, where he loved, and was loved, by people and students of all abilities. Doug was happiest holding his grandsons, fishing in Ninilchik AK, enjoying his cabin in Motley and delighting children as Santa Claus each year.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill, brother, Jeff, and beloved Grandparents.

He is survived by adoring wife Laura, loving mother Donna Odden and step father Jim, children Jake and Caitlin Smith (Luke), grandsons Joseph, Patrick and Francis, sister Linda and brothers Brad (Deb) and Dave (Jill), deeply cherished nieces and nephews,  countless close family, friends and colleagues.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tues. at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Rd. 24, Wayzata.

Visitation 5-8 PM Mon. at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37
th Ave. N.

Interment Ft. Snelling.
