Born April 6, 1923 to Belvina and Christian P. Holzem II on the family farm in Burns Township. She was a proud graduate of St. Francis High School, Little Falls, a Catholic boarding school for girls. After graduation she worked as secretary for the Sherburne County Attorney and later the Office of Price Administration.

She met Richard Cameron on a rollerskating outing while in high school. They married in 1944 before he was stationed in Italy during WWII and celebrated 59 years of marriage. They settled in Brooklyn Center in a house Richard built and spent many happy weekends at the family cabin in Nisswa. They were founding members of Our Lady of Victory parish. Elaine’s devout faith and church community supported her through life’s challenges.

She is survived by her sons Thomas (Mary), Richard Jr, Gregory (Kim), daughter Kay Elaine (Bill Kennard), grandchildren Michelle Mitchell (Scott), Claire Elaine and Drake Kennard, great-grandchildren Megan and Sean Mitchell, dear friend and neighbor Linda Waletko, sisters-in-law Elaine Cameron and Erma Cameron, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Sr.and daughter Teresa, her parents, all of her siblings and their spouses Mary DeVinney, Margaret Ellsworth (Howard), Irene Lorenz (Harold), Leonard Holzem, and C. Peter Holzem III. She was so happy to celebrate her 100th birthday with many family members and friends.

We will celebrate her life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Rosary Service at 8:30 AM, Visitation at 9 AM all at the church, 5146 Fremont Ave N, Mpls. Interment at St. Andrews Cemetery, Elk River.
