Elaine M. (Kirsch) Deeney

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Raymond, her parents, and all her siblings.  Survived by children: Mike (Bobbi) Deeney, Rita (Gary decd.) Knudson, Dave (Pam) Deeney, Phil (Patti) Deeney, Larry (Cathy) Deeney, Marie (Rob) Bell, Teresa (Jim) Bunda, Jim (Laurene) Deeney.  Also survived by 15 grandchildren:  Kelly (Trey), Erin (Brian), Matt,  Bridget (Mike), Patrick, Kyle (Anna), Katie (Jake), Scott (Sarah), Brian (Vania), Angela (Joe), Jimbo (Anna), Molly, Nicole (Scot), Jennifer (Chris), Michael, 14 great-grandchildren, many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Elaine was born, raised and spent almost her entire life in North Minneapolis prior to moving to the Gramercy Cooperative in Plymouth. She attended St. Anne's Grade School, Vocational High School and upon graduation she worked as an executive assistant at Cargill.  After marrying the love of her life, Raymond Deeney,  they raised a family of eight children.  As the kids got older, she returned to work as a Directory Assistance Operator for Northwestern Bell for over 25 years. She was a devout Catholic, proud of her German heritage, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She will continue to be loved by all, and will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Friday, July 28 at the Parish Community of St. Joseph, 8701 36th Ave N., New Hope

Visitation Thursday July 27 at  Gearty Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37TH Ave N. 5:00-8:00 with a rosary at 8:00 PM.   Visitation also Friday at St. Joseph one hour prior to Mass.  Interment Gethsemane.  All memorials will be donated by the family to Mom’s favorite charities.
