Elaine Evelyn Robertson

Elaine Evelyn Robertson (Sellner), age 94, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026.

Born June 15, 1931, in Linden, New Jersey, to Michael Sellner and Anna (Brenner), Elaine devoted her life to her family and was a steady, loving presence for generations. After moving with her family from the East Coast to Plymouth, Minnesota, she stayed home to raise her three children before working as a secretary for Cargill from 1971 to 1989. She cherished time with her granddaughters and rarely missed a school concert, sporting event, recital, or family celebration. Proud of her East Coast roots, Elaine never lost her New Jersey accent, a trait that family and friends fondly associated with her warmth, wit, and unmistakable personality. Whether she was preparing a favorite Italian meal, enjoying a bridge game with friends, or working through a Sunday morning crossword puzzle alongside James, Elaine found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, James W. Robertson; her parents, Michael and Anna Sellner; stepparents, Jacob and Barbara Deutsch; and her siblings, Grace Miller, Anne Fedak, and Michael Sellner.

She is survived by her children, J.R. Robertson (Shannah), Brian Robertson, and Debbie Cisewski; grandchildren, Nikki, Lindsey, Emily, Annie, and Laura; great-grandchildren, Cecil, Isaac, Carmella, Maxwell, Benjamin, Leonardo, Giuseppa, Prella and Lena; a tenth great-grandson expected later this year; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

Elaine will be deeply missed, but her family finds comfort in knowing that she and James have been reunited after 16 years apart.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m.at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Home in Plymouth (15800 37th Avenue North). Luncheon to follow service. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Elaine's life.
