Elma Ines (Martin) Huotari

August 12, 1931– March 30, 2022

Elma Ines Huotari, age 90, resided in Zimmerman, Minnesota. Elma was born August 12, 1931, and lived the majority of her life in Minnesota.  She was the eighth and last child born to Andrew and Lydia Martin. Elma married Edsel Alvin Huotari on November 15, 1952. They had three children, John, Mark, and Patti. Elma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edsel Huotari; son, Mark Huotari; her parents; and all of her siblings. She is survived by her son, John Huotari; her daughter, Patti Sharratt; grandson, Andrew Johnson; granddaughter-in-law, Malia Johnson; son-in-law, Todd Sharrett; sister-in-law, Doris Martin; best friend, Julianne Arola; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Elma’s life was defined by her faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, love of family, children, animals, painting, cooking, sewing, quilting, knitting, crafts, and tending to plants.

You are invited to celebrate her life by sharing memories and stories at the luncheon immediately after Elma’s memorial service at noon Saturday, May 21 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5005 Northwest Blvd. Plymouth.
