Emma M. Janckila

Emma, of Golden Valley, passed away Nov. 9th, her 77th birthday.

Survived by husband, Darrel; son, David (Monica) Janckila, daughter, Julie Janckila; son, Scott (Laura) Janckila; grandchildren, Lea, Sarah, Nick, & Anna; brother, Delbert (Janet) Pratt; sisters, Delores Lienemann, Diania Rankin and nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Dale and Sophia Pratt; sister, Mary Alderman.

Em moved from Nashua, IA, to the Twin Cities at the age of 18 with a dream of life in the big city. She created a home and family with her husband, Darrel, and was dedicated to her children.  She loved selling Avon and was a leading sales person for many years.  She also enjoyed cooking and working in the food service business.   She worked alongside her husband for over 15 years on the Golden Valley and Cooper Traveling Basketball programs. She was also a leader in the Armstrong High School Basketball Booster Program when her son, Scott, played there. She supported whatever her husband and children were involved in and loved being a grandma to her four grandchildren.  Em was also a long standing member and volunteer of Good Shepherd Church.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Ave S., Golden Valley.  Visitation Tuesday at church one hour before Mass. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.

Memorials preferred to Good Shepherd Church.
