Evelyn "Carol" Roberts

Evelyn "Carol" Roberts, age 92, entered into eternal rest on January 7, 2026, passing peacefully at her home in Columbia, South Carolina, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace Knapp, and spent most of her life in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Murray Roberts; her son, Michael Roberts; and her nine siblings. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Laura Wiles (Dave), and her son, David Roberts (Debbie). She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren.

A faithful follower of Christ, Carol was a member of New Hope Church for 45 years. There she joyfully served through the church choir, lay evangelism, and the ministry of hospitality, catering weddings, celebrations, and other church events. Her life of service extended beyond the church as she operated her own catering business and worked for many years in the pet supply industry.

Carol's life bore quiet witness to her faith through her kindness, generosity, and self-giving love. She leaves behind a legacy of steadfast devotion to her family and a hope rooted in the promises of Christ, whom she trusted throughout her life. While she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the assurance that she now rests in the presence of our Savior, awaiting the resurrection and joy of life everlasting.

The visitation and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Avenue North, New Hope, Minnesota. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., the funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. Private interment to follow.
