Evelyn Young

Evelyn Gertrude (Koelfgen) Young, (Golden Valley, Minnesota) was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully October 20th at the age of 102.

Evelyn was born in Minneapolis to Bertha and Francis Koelfgen on August 2nd,1923. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1941. She married her classmate, Paul Leroy Young in 1947.

Evelyn had a great life. She was a devoted wife to husband Paul (he passed in 2014) Together they had 6 children. Tim, wife Nancy; Connie; Marty, wife Kem; Tom; Randy, wife Doris; Ross, wife Deb. In addition to her children, Evelyn loved and supported her 14 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Francis and Bertha Koelfgen, brothers Gene, Buddie, Ed and sister Bernice, daughter in law Beth, and son in law Dave. Survived by her brother Lloyd, all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thursday October 30th at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. 2323 Zenith Ave N, Golden Valley, MN Visitation 10-11am; Mass 11-12pm; lunch following service 12-1pm Burial following at Forest Hill Cemetery 2400 Forest Ave Anoka, MN 55303
