Gerald J. Dykhoff, age 92 of Hamel, passed away peacefully at home November 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. An immigrant’s son and a veteran of World War II, he gave full devotion to his family, faith, and community. He embodied the spirit of the Greatest Generation: loyalty, honesty, humility, and service to country.
Preceded in death by beloved wife Rosie.
Survived by sons, Tom (Margaret), Dan (Regina), Jim (Cheryl), Randy (Cheryl), John (Holly), and Patrick; daughters, Nancy (Mark Saindon), Mary (Joe Hoy), and Karen (Steve Rudin); 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Kathy) Dykhoff; sister, Bonnie (Duane) Sager; nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Visitation Friday, November 6, 2020 3-7 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N. @ Vicksburg Lane. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 at the Church of St. Anne, Hamel. Due to COVID restrictions on attendance, it will be a PRIVATE MASS FOR IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY. The Mass will also be livestreamed on St. Anne’s website.
Extended family, friends, and the community are invited to St. Anne’s Cemetery at 11:45 AM Saturday, to attend military honors. Memorials preferred to Reiser Relief in Gerry’s name.
Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel and the Church of St. Anne will be following COVID-19 protocols: masks required, social distancing requested, no hugs/handshakes/etc.
