Harmon Tracy, loving husband and father passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on December 8, 2020 after a brief hospital stay. Harmon deeply loved his family and so loved being a part of his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and getting to know their friends. He was often referred to as a second father to many of them and his home in New Hope was a favorite gathering spot, which he loved. Throughout his life he was generous with his time with friends and family alike and was always ready with a kind word of encouragement when needed. He was a genuine giver and will be deeply missed.
Harmon is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva of New Hope; his children Jean (Mark) Flis, John (Jeanne), and Jeff (Carol); his 6 granddaughters, and 1 great-granddaughter; also his brother Dean and sister Maroa Wasson. He was preceded in death by his father Norman, his mother Alice, and brother Norman.
A memorial service for immediate family will be held Friday, December 18 th at 11:30 am followed by a private burial at Fort Snelling. Friends and relatives can view a live stream of the memorial service on Harmon's obituary page.
The family will plan a Celebration of Life reception for Harmon at a later date, when everyone can attend safely.
