Listen to Obituary

Keyes, Harold “Harry” Jr.

Age 72 of Andover, passed away on 09/08/2026.

Harry was a devoted father, partner, brother, uncle, educator, and friend. Harry was a proud father to Kristine and his late son, Nicholas. His family was one of the greatest sources of love and pride in his life.

After retiring, Harry continued to stay busy doing the things he loved most. He dedicated more than a decade of his career to educating and working with students at Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps, where he shared his knowledge and experience while helping young people build their futures. His years as an educator were an important part of his life and the legacy he leaves behind.

One of Harry’s greatest passions was model railroading. He loved researching, looking for, and reminiscing about trains.

Harry loved gardening and greatly missed it as his health was declining. He took great pride in growing and caring for his plants and especially enjoyed entering his work in the Minnesota State Fair. He was incredibly proud of the ribbons he won and loved sharing those accomplishments with his family.

He had a special love for decorating for the holidays, especially with lawn displays, putting his own creativity into making each season feel festive and memorable. These holiday traditions are among the many things his family will remember fondly.

Harry also enjoyed relaxing with his favorite television shows, including Star Trek, NCIS, and 9-1-1. And close by were often his beloved family dogs, Ramsey and Missy, with whom he loved spending time. They brought him companionship, comfort, and plenty of happiness.

Harry will be remembered for his many passions, his accomplishments, his dedication to education, and most of all, the love he shared with the people and animals who were important to him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas; and his parents, Harold and Carol Jean Keyes. Survived by daughter, Kristine; life partner of 44 years, Donna Clemens; sister, Laurel Murry; many nieces, nephews, loved ones & friends.
