SHAKER, HELEN K. (Schadel, Wilson)
After a 99 year journey, Helen passed away on January 27, 2022. From St. Louis Park, formerly St. Paul and most recently residing at St. Therese At Oxbow Lake in Brooklyn Park. Proceeded in death by husband Daniel Shaker, parents Joseph and Magdelene Schadel and brother Richard Schadel. Helen was a big sports fan and kept up on all sports news by reading the newspaper daily. She even joined an all male Sports Huddle at the Senior Center. She also loved to read, going to the movie theater, travel, bowling and spending time with family and friends. She was employed by Maid Of Scandinavia until her retirement at 75 years old. While working there she made many life long friends and continued those friendships by monthly breakfast and lunch gatherings. She also had wonderful neighbors while residing in St. Louis Park. She was a Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and friend. She is survived by her children Gary Wilson of Plymouth, MN; Cheryl Kunugi of Phoenix, AZ; Karen (John) Halverson of Champlin, MN and granddaughters Akemi and Kiomi Kunugi of Phoenix, AZ. Special Thank You to the caregivers at St. Therese At Oxbow Lake for the loving care she was given while residing there. Private family service will be held.
