Larson, Irene M.

Age 98 of St. Louis Park, formerly Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Irene was born on March 31, 1927 in Auboué, France, to parents Gino Gagliardi and Antonia DiFillipo Gagliardi. Irene had a passion for fashion and had won multiple National Presidential Sales Awards with Donaldson's, and Carson Pirie Scott department stores. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Linden Hills for over 50 years.

Irene is survived by sons Edwin Larson, Steve Larson, and spouse Candice; Daughter-in-law Jane Larson; Grandchildren Samantha Zegar and spouse Dan, Joey Larson and fiance Megan Rock, Alexis Larson and fiance Ryan Field, and Great Grandson Jace Connolly; nieces, nephews, their families and many great friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by husband Merle Larson, son Melvin Larson, her parents, and brothers Nello Gagliardi and Dante Gagliardi.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 19th at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 2914 W. 44th St., Minneapolis. Visitation at church one hour prior to Mass, and a luncheon in the cafeteria will follow. 

Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Instead of flowers, Memorials preferred to go to Minneapolis Animal Care and Control.  https://licensepet.com/wl3/don/mnplwd/454
