James "Jimmy" Ryan Wall, 46, passed away at his home in Fridley, MN on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 after an undisclosed illness. He was born to Duann (Ebner) Fisher and Randall "Randy" Harold Wall on September 27th, 1979, in Des Moines, IA.
Jimmy was well traveled and lived in many states such as Nebraska, California, Iowa, and Arkansas. He spent his formative years in Barling, Arkansas, and lived in Van Buren prior to moving to Minneapolis in 2002 when he was 23.
Jimmy worked for some time as a residential painter, and as a lenscrafter, and bounced/managed gigs at Gastof's/Mario Keller bar in Northeast Minneapolis, and ultimately worked for inside/outside sales for 1-800-Radiator and LKQ Corporation prior to the pandemic. Some of his hobbies included drawing with various mediums, refinishing furniture, playing football, soccer, guitar, drums, writing songs, and singing, to name a few. His legacy included being a member of several rock bands on the Twin Cities music scene (Far From Down, Flatrate, Ten Cent Pistol) that toured the Twin Cities and Minnesota and played for 93X. He was adored by his fans. He was very social and enjoyed spending time and going on outings with his family, and friends.
Jimmy was married in 2008, and while there were no children from that union, he had four loving furbabies; Maddi (his black lab), his cats, Zoey and George, and is survived by his cat, Cheezypuff, "Cheesy". He is survived by his mother, DuAnn (Ebner) Fisher, (Minnetonka, MN) his brother, Ernest "Eddie" Fisher Jr. (St. Louis Park, MN); nephew and niece, Isaac Fisher (Morgan) and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Fisher; great grandnieces, Raina Ann Fisher and Maddie Kuykendall; great grandnephew Jerry Fisher (Mulberry, AR); sister, Kristina Fisher Dahlin (Bryan); and nieces and nephews, Jazmine, Jadin, and Logan Dahlin (St. Louis Park, MN).
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty "Bert" Wall, and father, Randall "Randy" Harold Wall, and survived by his sister, Randa Wall (Casey/Adair, IA), and brother, Christopher "Chris" Wall (Florida), and many loving family members and honorary friends who were like family.
He had a huge heart and a beautiful soul. He was the most charismatic and outgoing person one could ever meet. He is remembered for his sense of humor; (he was a jokester and liked to do funny accents); and for being a great storyteller and for keeping people entertained just because he could. He gave great hugs and anointed himself the honorary uncle to his closest friends' kids. He put a positive spin on so many things, and his smile could light up a room. He was our best friend; we miss him deeply and will cherish these memories.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Friday, October 24 at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave S. (Wooddale @ Excelsior Blvd). Visitation will be after the service from 2:30 to 4 PM.
