Jane Marie Johnson

Listen to Obituary

Jane Marie Johnson (nee Erickson) was born into our world April 26th, 1956 to her parents Harley and Carol in Minot, ND. Jane passed into the arms of Jesus on an Angel's wing October 25th, 2026.

Family and friends are Jane's currencies and she spends them wisely. Prior to Jane's 18 month journey with cancer her world lit-up with the arrival of her first grandson, Jordan Taylor. When Jane's son Andy and his wife, Libby, announced that a second joy is on-the-way, Jane's reply was, "Well, I'm going to be here for that Baby!" and she did just that. Andy and Libby gave Jane the honor of naming Scottie Jay. Scottie's middle name, Jay, is in honor of Jane and Julie, Grandmothers who are no longer with us.

Following Jane's career at International Harvester and Norwest Bancorp, Jane embarked on a journey that mattered-most, being Andy's Mom. Jane beamed at Andy's baseball accomplishments and at the good times she created while entertaining with her fantastic meals. Jordy says nothing tastes better than Amma's Apple "Frisp".

When Jane walks into a room she has a roomful of friends and that roomful of folks had a friend in Jane.

Jane is survived by her husband Rodd, her son Andy, his wife Libby, their sons Jordy and Scottie, sister Nancy (Darwin) and cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, out-laws, and close friends. A special thank you is owed to Jane's sister-in-law, Peggy, who cast aside her time to be a sounding board and guide through the abyss of a dreaded disease.

A celebration of Jane's fantastic life will take place Friday November 6th at 2pm (1pm visitation) at St. Philip The Deacon Lutheran Church (17205 Cty. Rd. 6 Plymouth, MN). A visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday November 5th from 5-8 pm at Gearty Delmore Funeral Chapels (15800 37th Ave. N. Plymouth, MN).

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Philip The Deacon C/O Children's Ministries where Jane taught Sunday School for many-many years. A link to donate to the Children's Ministries can be found HERE. In the memo line, St. Philip's kindly requests you place "In Memory of Jane Johnson" to ensure donations are directed properly.

Please join us after our celebration for Jane with fresh "Apple Frisp" and cinnamon ice cream where we can, as Jane would say, "Chat".
