Aasgaard, Janet Mae

Age 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025.

Preceded in death by husband Thomas, parents Clayton and Mae Berdahl and brother Richard; survived by children Steven (Julie) and Kevin (Sara); grandchildren Jeff (Maureen), Kim (David), Scott (Katie), Marissa and Lauren; great-grandchildren Annie, Logan, Cole, Noah, Kip and Riley; and cousin, James Berdahl (Jeanne).

Janet was a wonderful and loving homemaker and family matriarch. She worked as a paraprofessional at Hopkins North Jr. High School for 22 years, enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s countless events and, as “GG,” watching her six great-grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed spending time with her many close friends, all of whom supported her this past year during her two falls, the sale of her townhome and her move to Amira Choice Plymouth Assisted Living.

Janet lived a social life; she loved to play cards, shop, and attend coffee parties. She enjoyed shopping with grandchildren, caring for them, and making “care calls” to friends on a daily basis as needed to support them. She loved her church, where she was a member for 26 years.

Memorial service 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18th at St. Philip the Deacon, 17205 County Rd. 6, Plymouth. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private Interment at Ft. Snelling.

Memorials preferred to St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church.
