Janice Oberg Frederick

age 65 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on December 11 ^th , 2022. Jan was preceded in death by her father Gary Oberg. Jan is survived by her husband of 41 years, Daniel Frederick; daughter Lauren Woods (Aaron); son Kevin Frederick (Marie); and 5 grandchildren (Julia, Zelie, Robert, Jude and Luke); mother Marlene Oberg; sister Karen Oberg; brother Paul Oberg; as well as a large extended family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Jan was born in Rapid City, South Dakota but lived the majority of her life in the Twin Cities. She was a proud University of Minnesota Golden Gopher attending for both her Undergraduate degree and dental school. For over 30 years, Jan ran a private dental practice in Richfield and Mendota Heights. She cared deeply about her patients and was passionate about her work. Jan was also a caring, fun, and generous wife, mother, friend and grandma. She will be remembered for how special she made both daily life as well as holidays and big events. She loved to entertain whether at her house in Minneapolis or retirement homes in Summit Lake, Wisconsin and Seabrook Island, South Carolina. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM, Friday, December 30, 2022 at The Church of the Annunciation, 509 W 54th St, Minneapolis, MN.  Visitation at church one-hour prior to Mass.
