Jeanne A. Radermacher (Wahl), age 88, of New Hope, died peacefully surrounded by family on May 2, 2026.
Jeanne lived with Parkinson’s Disease for 20 years and accepted it with grace and courage. Jeanne was adored by everyone she encountered. Family, friends, caregivers and fellow residents were all inspired by her kind and gentle disposition. Jeanne was devoted to Sam, her husband of 62 years, and provided unconditional love for her 6 children.
Jeanne was born in 1938 and was a proud graduate of St. Margaret’s Academy. She met Sam, the love of her life, at a Medina Ballroom dance. They married in 1958 and settled into their one and only house in New Hope in 1960. They would remain there for 60 happy years.
Jeanne is survived by children Steve (Teresa), Jim, Mary, Rick (Teri), Tim (Amy) and Chris (Tanya); 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and sister Patty. Preceded in death by her husband Sam, parents Clarence and Pauline, and grandson Joe.
Jeanne had a passion for homemaking and is joyfully remembered by her children for her strong preferences on precisely how household tasks were done. She was a hospice volunteer, a long-time parishioner at St. Raphael, a lover of Minnesota history books, and a doting Grandma who enjoyed hosting each of her grandchildren for their own special 1-on-1 overnight visit. Her thoughtful and loving nature was always on full display for her children’s birthdays. It was uncanny the way she could recall the exact time of birth and the various circumstances of that day!
