Jeanne Ann Zimmer, age 97, of Shoreview, passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 17th 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace. She was born on October 13, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Alex and Elizabeth Zimmermann.
Jeanne’s life spanned nearly a century of remarkable change, and through it all she remained a steady presence to those around her. She was known for her spirit, adventurous nature, and devotion to her family.
Jeanne and Fred met on April 19, 1947 and married the following year. Jeanne found joy in life’s simple moments, camping trips, and in the time she shared with those she loved. Jeanne was a Weight Watcher leader who influenced many people during her tenure with some remaining steadfast friends.
She is survived by her children, William (Cynthia), Karen (David), and Robert (Molly); and her cherished grandchildren, Scott, Kristin, Alissa, Eric, Maxwell, Benjamen, and Samuel; and great-grandchildren Alexa, Brianna, Ciara, Zachary, Gabriel, and Jackson, along with many cousins, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Fred L. Zimmer Jr.; her parents and her brother, William.
Jeanne will be remembered for her strength, her sharing, and the love she gave. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton, MN 55112 on June 12th, 2026 @ 11:30. A gathering will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Refreshments will be served after the service at the church.
A private interment will be held by her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a charity of your choice.
