IN LOVING MEMORY OF JEFFREY PAUL HANCE

November 18th, 1965 - September 30th, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey “Jeff” Hance, age 59, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Jeff was born on November 18, 1965, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis. He spent his early years in New Hope, MN, before moving with his family to Delano, MN – the place he proudly called home for the rest of his life.

Jeff is survived by his beloved daughter, Lauren Marie Hance; his sister, Diane Hance; and his dear friend and former wife, Robyn Hance, along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Paul and Mary Ann Hance.

After the family’s move to their farm in Delano, Jeff discovered a love for dairy farming and enjoyed working with the cows. Over time, he found his true passion in landscaping. In 1990, he founded Red Eagle Landscaping, a business he dedicated himself to for 35 years. Jeff built lasting relationships with his clients and took great pride in caring for their properties year-round. His hard work and artistry live on in the countless residential and commercial landscapes he helped transform.

In 1996, Jeff married Robyn Larson, and five years later they welcomed their daughter, Lauren. A lifelong baseball enthusiast, Jeff’s love for the game carried through to Lauren, who shared his passion from a young age. They spent countless hours together playing catch, practicing, and studying the game. When Lauren began playing league softball, Jeff started coaching –supporting not only her development but also that of every player he mentored.

Jeff was an intelligent, determined, stubborn, and creative man. He had a remarkable ability for complex problem-solving and could fix just about anything – earning him the well-loved title of “Mr. Fix-it” among his family and friends. His daughter knew that whenever something went wrong, she could count on her dad to find what the problem was and how to fix it.

Those who knew Jeff best will remember his dry, witty sense of humor, always delivered with just the right touch of sarcasm. You could tell a joke was coming by the devilish smirk on his face and the twinkle in his eye.

Rest in peace, Jeff. You will be forever missed, and your love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
