Jeffrey T. Johannsen

Jeffrey T. Johannsen, age 69, of Maple Grove, passed away July 20 after a year-long battle with Powassan virus, a rare tick-borne disease.

Preceded in death by son Daniel Johannsen, sister Lisa Irsfeld, and parents Marilyn & Donald Johannsen.

Jeff was an extraordinary craftsman, building and remodeling homes through his business, Woodwright & Assoc. As devoted caretaker, he was key to upholding the 100-year legacy of the Whitten’s Acre cabins on Gull Lake.

Jeff is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Susan, loving daughter Teal (David) Johannsen, brothers Steve (Martha) Johannsen and David (Maggie) Johannsen, Greg Irsfeld (Lisa’s husband), and scores of family and friends.

Gathering at 1:00 pm & Service at 2:00 pm on Mon, Aug 28, at Elm Creek Park Reserve Chalet, 12400 James Deane Parkway, Maple Grove, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
