Joan Johnson

Joan Johnson of St. Louis Park, passed away on January 26, 2021 at the age of 88.

She was a loving woman with a big heart. People often commented that Joan was quick with a smile and a kind word. She brought smiles to everyone around her through her kindness and caring.

She was a loving wife to Larry and an incredibly loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. We thought of her always as “Best Mom”, she gave us everything we ever needed and more. We all owe her a huge debt of gratitude, we would not be the people we are today without her unconditional love, patience, and guidance.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Pete Gustafson; her twin sister, Jean Tvetene; sister, Jerrie Aune; brother, John Gustafson; daughter, Linda Okey.

Joan is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Mark (Janet) Okey, Laurie (Jeff) Reed, Karen (John) Hein and Steven Okey; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Fayram.

A private service will be held on a future date.
