JoAnn Betty Haugen

JoAnn Betty Haugen, 86, of Hopkins, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026.

JoAnn was born on June 3, 1940, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Mervyn and Ann Roberts. She graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth and went on to attend Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. She retired from Cargill after a long career in various administrative positions.

She cherished her family, friends, her faith, and her beloved golden retrievers Sandy, Molly and Benson. She was an avid traveler, downhill and cross country skier, loved cruise trips and spending summer weekends on Lake Minnetonka listening to Jimmy Buffet. She wanted everyone to know that she loved her life, her family, her friends and that she will meet us all again one day.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Mervyn and Ann Roberts, and brother, Wayne Roberts. She is survived by her sister, Janet Madison, nephew, Michael Roberts (Bettianne), nieces, Cindy Kulzer (Steve), Tracy Roberts (Jim Dudley), Ronda Oraskovich (Duane), 11 great nieces and nephews, and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held on August 24, 2026 at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Avenue North, Plymouth, MN. Visitation starts at 1:30 p.m. with service at 2:00 p.m. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service. Joann's final resting place will be at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.
