John Herbert Meister

John Herbert Meister, age 92 of Corcoran, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026. John was born June 21, 1934, in Corcoran to George and Lola Meister. Throughout his life he remained devoted to the three things that mattered most to him: his faith, his family and his farm. He loved nothing more than a good conversation whether with family, friends or somebody he just met.

Preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Mairead Dobie, siblings Irene (Bernard) Barthel, George (Patricia) Meister, Mary (Leon) Leuer, Jeanne (Raymond) Laurent, Frank (surviving spouse Catherine) and Charles (Phyllis) Meister

Survived by daughters Julie (Carlos) Mujica, Jill (Brian) Dobie, and Jennifer (David) Bourn, granddaughters Maura, Eileen, Margaret, Kathleen, Mary-Grace, Josephine and Maeve Dobie, and Leah, Claire and Vivienne Bourn, sisters Betty (the late Loran) Eull, twin Joann (the late Joseph) Hackenmueller, and many other family and friends.

Visitation from 4-8 pm Friday, October 30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Social Hall, 20000 Co Rd 10, Corcoran. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 31, 10:30 am, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Old St. Thomas Cemetery in Corcoran.
