Survived by wife, Mary Sims; children, Teresa Garrett & John Henry Sims III; stepdaughters, Michele Cress & Julie (Matthew) Lemieux; grandchild, Mark Mader; great-grandchildren, RJ Mader & Serenity Mader; siblings, James (Darlene) Sims & Sherrell Sims. Preceded in death by parents, John Sr. & Edith Sims; sister, Donna Mae Loomis. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Monday, June 24, at MapleRidge Church, 13400 Maple Knoll Way, Maple Grove 55369. Visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
