John "Jack" E. Holtan

Born January 25, 1940, to Curtis Ellsworth and Bernice (Slinde) Holtan.  Jack died peacefully at home on March 4, 2023.  Jack was a 1958 graduate of Roosevelt HS, served three years in the US Army and was a loyal employee of the Coca-Cola Company for 30 years.  Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Patricia and Mary Beth.  Survived by his wife Barbara; three children, Todd (Jody), Christina (Kevin), Tim (Amy), stepson Brian; grandchildren, William, Brittany, Alex (Olivia), Chloe (Tyler) Delwiche, Nick (Nicole), McCall, Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Israel, Emelio, Mackenzie, Jackson and Ariana; sisters,  Sandra (Bob) Stein, Linda Hein, brother Richard (Peg); sister-in-law Marlene Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.  He loved his family, his friends, fishing, hunting and a good game of cribbage.

The family would like to thank the caregivers Jack has had over the last year and the last four months of exceptional care he received from St. Croix Hospice.

Services will be held March 22nd at 11:00.  Visitation one hour prior to service at St. James Lutheran Church, 6700 46th Place N., Crystal, MN.  Luncheon to follow.   Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
