Joy JoAnn (Pickerign) Aebly

passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2025, at the age of 88 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. 

She is survived by her husband George Aebly of 68 years; 5 siblings; children, Steve (Cathy) Aebly, Cynthia (Al Hoover) Cox, Cheryl Ryan and Shelly Kelly; grandchildren, Jeremy (Alison), Brent (Christina), Dustin (Katie), Stephanie (Sam), Reina, Mikaela (Justin), Aleah, Nicholas (Pahoua), Samuel (Nic), Christopher, Jahnaya (Armando), Sarah and 19 great-grandchildren. 

Joy was born in Weston Township, Wisconsin but was a proud Crystal resident for 62 years. For over 30 years Joy cleaned the IDS tower at night while driving school bus during the day. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards or shopping but most notably she was devoted to raising her family. Joy will be remembered for her spirited personality and will be deeply missed by many. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow. Interment following at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope.
